Dumas, Texas is a town of about 25,000 people located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It is home to the largest prepackaged coffee company in the United States and one of the few remaining small-town caffeine operations. The founder of Dumas Coffee was George Daughters, who opened his first grocery store in Dumas in 1922. By 1934, he had moved upscale to what is now known as the George Daughters Shopping Center. In 1951, Dumas Coffee began selling pre-packaged coffee beans direct to consumers at its stores. In 1969, Dumas Coffee merged with Jardine's Bros., which was then the largest US packaged coffee company by sales volume. At that point, Dumas became part of Jardine's corporate empire and continuing production until it filed for bankruptcy in 2003. After Jardine's closure, Dumars reopened as a small family-owned business under new ownership and continues today as one of North America's leading espresso roasters with over 100 cafes throughout North America and Europe

Dumas is a small town in the US state of Texas. It is located at the intersection of US-183 and FM 620, about 20 miles (32 kilometres) east of Dallas. The population was 3,890 as of the 2010 census. The name Dumas comes from French for "chief". The original settlers were Mexican Americans who arrived in 1836 from Pecos County, New Mexico. They named their settlement after General José de la Vega y Costilla, who led an army against Santa Anna's Mexican forces during the Mexican–American War. Dumas grew rapidly in the early 1900s due to oil production on nearby ranchlands and a resulting increase in traffic and development around the town square. In 1907, Dumas incorporated as a city and soon became one of Texas' most vibrant community centers with its own library, post office, police department, school system, beer factory and other businesses. The city experienced rapid growth until World War II when it contracted due to decline in petroleum prices and hard times for industry throughout Texas. By 1960 Dumas had shrunk to its current size following closure of several local businesses including its beer factory which left Dumas with only one public park remaining on government land within its boundaries
There is no one definitive account of the history of coffee, as different people have contributed to the drink in different ways. However, we can start with a very early example – a pot of blackstrap coffee that was found in ancient Sumer. This coffee was prepared by roasting beans over an open fire and then grinding them into a coarse powder. This early coffee was used as an energy source for workers during long hours on tasks such as building construction or farming. Over time, however, it began to be appreciated for its unique flavor and quality. In 1818, French chef Alexandre Dumas created what is now considered the first gourmet coffee recipe – a blend of roasted beans from four different countries including Brazil, Peru, Africa and Java. This recipe quickly became popular among upscale diners across Europe and America. In 1845, Italian physicist Luigi Galvani discovered that electricity could be used to spark small fires in objects like rubber or wax paper. This led to the development of electric lights and wireless technology which made it possible for people to enjoy gourmet coffee at home without having to leave their homes! During World War II, gourmet coffee became an important battlefield commodity because soldiers needed caffeinated beverages to stay focused on their missions. The Battle of Okinawa showed how important good espresso could be when it came to morale-boosting support; after all, many Allied troops were lost due directly or indirectly to caffeine overdoses! Since then, cafes around the world have been serving up delicious cups of joe straight from the ground – thanks largely to technological advancements like drip machines and mobile app delivery!

In 1653, Dutch traders discovered Java and started trading with the locals, which led to the development of Java Coffee. The coffee became very expensive and not everyone could afford it, so merchants started selling green coffee beans instead. Java Coffee became popular because it wasn't bitter or too strong.
Dumas is a small town in Will COUNTY, Texas, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land metropolitan area. Dumas was founded by Frenchman Alexandre Dumas in 1836 as a stopping point on the Santa Fe Trail between Odessa and San Antonio. In 1848, Dumas became the county seat of Will County and remains so to this day. The first post office in Dumas opened in 1854. In 1886, local rancher James Fenton donated land for a public school district and donationlimits were placed on cattle drives that crossed his property to reach the new school site. On July 22, 1888, Dumas's incorporation as an incorporated village was ratified by voters at a special election held under state law providing for incorporation of villages with a population of more than 500 residents within 10 years from date of ratification. During World War II, much activity took place here due to shipbuilding work being done at nearby Baytown Shipyards which produced munitions for the war effort including many B-29 Superfortresses used by American forces in Europe duringWWII; among these are two that survive today--the Museum Aircraft No. 4 (Museum category) and Museum Aircraft No. 5 (Aircraft category). There have been several buildings erected here since then associated with various aspects of Will County history such as Stroudsville courthouse (1894), sheriff's office (1901), bank building (1910), post office annex (1920), United States Courthouse Annex (1991) and others; some still standing are First Baptist Church Building/Stroudsville Methodist Episcopal Church Annex (1964), Masonic Temple/Lone Star Lodge No 792(1973) and School District Administration Building/Will County Board Of Education Administration Building(1994). Dumas is located just east of Interstate 20 exit 134 on FM 1960 about midway between Houston and Sugar Land along State Highway 610 near where it meets Belt Line Road
In 1836, French explorer General Jacques- François Dumas explored the Texas Panhandle and named it for Francesco Xavier de Montoya y Arana, who had first sighted the area in 1799. The land that is now known as Texas was part of Mexico until 1821 when it became a United States territory. In 1845, after the Mexican-American War ended with a victory for the United States over Mexico, California claimed portions of what are now eastern and southern Texas. This led to an ongoing conflict between America’s two nations over which jurisdiction should be given to these new territories. In 1850, Congress allotted lands east of the Louisiana Purchase to form East Texas and West Texas; this decision left much of what is now central and southeastern Texas unoccupied. In 1861, just before Confederate forces invaded American soil through Arkansas (then Union territory), General Sam Houston sent a contingent of Texans to help take on Confederate forces at San Jacinto Creek. This event marked one of history’s earliest military engagements in Texas. In 1865, following Reconstruction in America following the end of the Civil War, Texans voted to secede from the Union and formed their own government called The Republic of Trans-Texas; this event marks another significant milestone in our state’s history.
