The cafe served fresh espresso drinks from start to finish, making it one of the first places people turned to for coffee when they moved into town. In 1900, John Amos opened his own coffee house on Third Street that became known as The German Bakery. This business served up delicious Berlin-style home baked goods like donuts and pastries while also selling pre-packaged coffee products like Keurig Koffeescripts and Dunkin' Donuts cups. In 1911, Harry Bourgeois opened The French Cafe on Fourth Street which soon became well known for its unique Québécois style café au lait (coconut milk) drinks. In 1923, Harry's son Howard took over the running of the cafe and made it an all-day destination for locals and visitors alike. Over time, many other businesses cropped up around Edinburg including Barnes & Noble where customers could buy books or magazines while enjoying their caffeine fix; Jiffy Lube; Taco Bell; A&W Brewery;and more! It wasn't until 1984 that Starbucks came to town - later opening their first location at 2nd & San Antonio Streets - giving edgy Edinburgers another choice besides closed down mom-and-pop shops during rush hour! Edinburg is a city in Hidalgo County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,834 at the 2010 census. It is the second-largest city in Hidalgo County after McAllen and has a population growth rate of 3.5% annually since 2000. The Edinburg metropolitan area has a population of 6,067 according to the 2010 census. The first people to settle in what is now Edinburg were farmers who arrived from Mexican territory near modern day Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua in 1836. However, it wasn’t until 1881 that a post office was established at present-day Edinburg and by 1895, when an electrical substation was built there too, the town had been renamed for General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna y Pavón Medal of Honor recipient James Fenton Hill (1821-1893), one of only six Texans ever awarded this distinction. In 1907 voters approved annexation by Hidalgo County which occurred two years later on October 15th Hector Cortés and his brother Francisco founded El Paso & Rio Grande Railroad Company which completed its line from El Paso to Hudspeth in 1912 In 1915 local businessmen Augustus Crain and Roy Kapp agreed to develop land north of downtown into what would become today’s central business district including much of what is now downtown Edinburg In 1927 community leaders formed the First National Bank with $50,000 donation from Jules Wolkoff After World War II many residents left for big cities such as Dallas or Houston because they found opportunities there But then came economic recession that hit Edinburg particularly hard which led to loss of jobs and increased crime rates especially around downtown where extensive redevelopment took place beginning with erection of new buildings such as City Hall before 1990 . And so it was when Mayor Rudy Ruiz announced plans for demolition/reconstruction of City Hall starting back in 2009 that many citizens got interested once again in their once thriving town . But after several public hearings throughout 2011-2013 no decision resulted leaving citizens anxiously waiting as late as last year for something better . But finally on January 10th 2014 after more than two years long deliberations mayor Ruiz announced that he will not be renewing his efforts due to lack of funds but instead will work with developers on creating affordable housing units within walking distance of City Hall Plaza

Edinburg is a small town located in Tarrant County, Texas. It was founded in 1836 by John C. Edinburg and his family. The town originally consisted of only a few homes and businesses. By the time it incorporation was granted in 1868, Edinburg had grown to include a school, jail, post office, bakery, grocery store, lumberyard and dozens of other businesses. In 1916 the city limits were expanded to include present-day Fort Worth and portions of Arlington County. Despite its growth over the years, Edinburg has always been a small town with limited resources. However, its history makes it an important place for both locals and visitors alike. In 1836 John C. Edinburg immigrated to Tarrant County from England with his family consisting of four children: James (born 1799), Sarah (born 1800), John (born 1802) and Anna (born 1804). The family first settled in what is now known as Clear Fork Township on the banks of Buffalo Bayou near modern day Waco Falls Dam. After several years they moved to what is now known as West Creek Township where they built their initial home which still stands today - a two-story log cabin called Cabin #1 . From this home John started farming around 1870 along with his son James who became one of Tarrant County's most successful farmers noted for growing cotton crops and raising livestock including hogs and cattle . In 1872 John purchased some land east of West Creek Township from David Bogue for $310 . This purchase allowed him access to White Oak Lake which he eventually developed into one of Tarrant County's largest commercial entities . In addition to carpentry; agriculture was JCP's mainstay until about 1920 when oil production made ranching less economical . John C. Edinburg died in 1880 at the age of 75 after many years spent farming in Tarrant County . His wife Sarah continued farming until her death in 1906 at the age of 86 ;James followed suit two years later at 78years old while their youngest daughter Anna took over running the farm until her death in 1951 at 93years old .. James' eldest son John Jr., who inherited Cabin #1 , continued farming until he passed away in 1966 at 79 years old .. Lastly Anna’s granddaughter Jane took over running Cabin #1 until her death in 2006 also aged 89 .. Overall these five descendants ran Edinburg’s farmstead for nearly 100 Years ..
