The history of espresso in El Paso began with the founding of the first coffee house in 1892. The coffee house was called the Italian Coffee House and it served coffee made from beans roasted by Don Giovanni Pappagallo, who owned a small farm near downtown El Paso. In 1912, Luigi Lisi opened his own roastery and café in what is now known as the alley behind el Paso Hall on Grand Ave. In 1938, Angelo Travaglio opened his own cafe, La Caffè del Bianco (the White Coffee), which became one of El Paso's most popular tourist attractions. In 1951, Frank Grimes started serving gourmet coffee at his grocery store on Main Street. The store soon became known for its high-quality bean products and international cuisine. In 1984, David Baca foundedel's Coffee Co., which remains El Paso's only full-service independent roaster today.
El Paso is a city in Midwestern United States. It is the county seat of El Paso County and the largest city in New Mexico. The population was 1,815 at the 2010 census. The name "El Paso" comes from Spanish meaning "the pass." The first European to visit what is now El Paso was Francisco Vásquez de Coronado in 1540. He named it after his native town, Pátzcuaro, Veracruz, México. In 1821, Antonio López de Santa Anna founded the Mexican Republic here and named it Ciudad Juárez after Washacochepec, Chihuahua state (now Chiapas), where he had been born. The city's annexation by El Paso County in 1912 made it one of its original seven municipalities. It became an important transportation hub for Mexicans moving westward during the Porfiriato era and later for Americans coming to work on farms in what is now Texas during the 19th century boomtown period. After World War IIEconomy crashed hard as people left for jobs in other states, many businesses closed and streets were clogged with unlicensed workers; this contributed to lawlessness that characterized much of El Paso until recently . Coffee has been around for centuries, and there are many different types of coffee available today. One of the oldest coffee beans was roasted in Sumatra in the 6th century AD. The first espresso machine was built in 1806 by Angelo Bignone. In 1830, Antonio Leptozzi developed the first coffee grinder that could grind beans to a consistent size and flavor. In 1855, Swiss scientist Johann Bernoulli discovered that water heated by an engine would turn into vapor and gas without being burned, which allowed him to produce steam-powered machines to roast coffee. In 1870, American inventor Amos Kendall invented a Coffee Roaster using a pressurized tank and plunger with a basket that collected the ground coffee while it rotted. The United States became interested in coffee after President James K. Polk announced his support for cattle drives through Texas in 1848. To finance these activities, Polk issued $1 million worth of bonds backed by coffee sales. By 1850, interest on these bonds had paid off and America started importing European-grown coffee from Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Mexico City at high prices because no one could find good beans anywhere else within their borders! The Spanish also began receiving shipments of Brazilian beans as part of their trade with Mexico City. This happened during the Mexican Revolution (1810-1821), when most of Europe was still under Spanish rule; this caused much conflict between Europeans and Mexicans about who should get the best Beans! After years of importation and experimentation, Dutchman Frederik Ruudolf Schultz invented what is now called an espresso machine or “grinder” in 1885! By 1912 Anheuser Busch had introduced its own brand of vacuum brewed Coffee – Bob’s Red Mill Coffee – making it one of the first commercially successful brands worldwide Today we enjoy more than 1 trillion cups OF COFFEE per day globally!

In 1795, Swiss chocolate maker Johann Friedrich Kappeler introduced coffee into Switzerland as a favored drink for aristocrats. In 1824, Prince Felix of Baden founded an Italian coffee house called La Caffè della Biblioteca at Piazza di Spagna on Rome’s Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. There he enjoyed fine espresso drinks while reading books from his library before going to dinner at his palace near St Peter’s Square. By 1830, espresso had spread to many European capitals including London, Paris, Vienna and Berlin.
El Paso is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, located on the Rio Grande River. The population was 1,830 at the 2010 census. It is part of the El Paso–Juárez Metropolitan Statistical Area and covers an area of 158 square miles (390 square kilometers). The name "El Paso" comes from Spanish, meaning "the crossing." The first Anglo settlers in what is now El Paso arrived in 1846 and named it La Junta after General Antonio López de Santa Anna's army that had just victory over Mexican forces at Buenavista. By 1848, Englishman James Fenton had established a trading post near what is now downtown El Paso with British help under the name Fort Worth (Fenton was later promoted to Lieutenant-Governor). In 1850, American soldiers burned down Fort Worth and foundedmodern day El Paso as a result. Although some American settlers did arrive before 1860s, most of the growth in El Paso took place during that decade as tiny farming villages began to mushroom along riverbanks throughout central and southern Texas due to cheap land availability. Railroads arrived shortly thereafter making trade and transportation much easier, especially for goods needed for northern Mexico such as whisky which was then being smuggled into America via Veracruz. In 1880s/1890s many new residential developments were built blocks away from downtown El Paso around present day Interstate 10 (I-10) Roadrunner Freeway; these included several oldadobe buildings still standing today including: Light House Towers (now known as White Sands Hotel), Alamo Plaza Hotel & Casino Resort (formerly Club el Alto), Capitol Theatre Building & Enterprise Mall across I-10 from City Hall Plaza complex; A&M Insurance building at corner of Rio Grande Boulevard & San Angelo Road; Stampede Grounds amusement park across I-10 north of Loop 610 intersection
