Forest Hill is a small town in Potter County, Texas, United States. The population was 511 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Houston–Sugar Land metropolitan area. The community began as a post office in 1881, and became a cattle ranching town. In 1916 it had its first school, and in 1927 it had its first doctor. Forest Hill was founded by landowner John Fenton on what is now the eastern edge of town. The original Forest Hill Schoolhouse still stands, and is used as a museum today. According to the 2010 census, Forest Hill has an estimated population of 511 people living in 94 families which makes it one of the most ethnically diverse places in Texas. English isthe primary language spoken here with Spanish being understood by some but not all residents. There are many different religions practiced here including Mainline Baptist (formed in 1922), Methodist (founded 1886), Presbyterian (1892), Adventist (1912) and Lutheran (1896). Most residents have either been born or raised here or have lived within close proximity for more than 20 years now.

Forest Hill is a census-designated place in San Antonio, Texas, United States. The population was 10,724 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Antonio–Bryan–Houston Combined Statistical Area. The name Forest Hill comes from a U.S. Forest Service road that ran through the area in the early 1800s and was also called "the good old days." In 1876, General Sam Houston (1795-1836), who was then president of the Republic of Texas and later became the 31st Governor of Texas, ordered General John Buford to build a military road from Huntsville to Fort Hood in present day Robertson County. This new highway became known as "General Houston's Road". In 1907, when Forrest K. Johnson bought land adjacent to what is now Forest Hill Ranch and began developing it into an agricultural community named after himself with help from his brother Jeptha Forrest Johnson Sr., local citizens renamed their street grid roads in his honor: Elmwood Boulevard (now FM 2922), Forrest Drive (now US 281), Harvey Road (now IH 35W), Johnson Way (now Loop 336W) and Kirkland Lane (now FM 1625). The first post office opened in 1910 and remained open until it closed in 1974. It wasn't until 1953 that Forest Hill received its own ZIP code due to growing suburbanization within sanantonio; prior to that all residents were served by ZIP codes 78119 or 78726. In 1965, when Interstate 10 was built through San Antonio proper, nearby IH-35E became one of its exit ramps leading eastbound into downtownSan Antonio on behalf of both Dallas/Fort Worth International Airportxe as well as Temple Universityxe which had just moved into its new campus across Trinity Avenue from downtownSan Antoniox – making Forest Hill one of only a handful of communities directly impacted by freeway construction during this time period. After years of being considered an agricultural community by many locals because most OFHP growth occurred outside their boundaries; forest hill officially became an urban center with jobs located near IH-10 Comprehensive Plan approved by Mayor Joe Jackson in 1978 made Oak Cliff's high school property within walking distance of city limits while ensuring access for students attending Oak Cliff State Collegexe which would eventually become UT Austinxe along with other university expansion plans ensuing throughoutSAN Antonio including several large housing projects developed nearLooping 20thSt & Montgomery Streetsin today's Midtown district
Forest Hill is a town in Tyler County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,871 at the 2010 census. It was founded in 1879 by J.P. White and his wife Lillie Greenfield as a small community on the banks of the Trinity River. Forest Hill grew rapidly due to its location near the railroads and agricultural plantations that dot the area. In 1912, it became part ofTyler County and annexed by Plano. In 1930, Forest Hill was designated as the capital of Tyler County after being chosen over Plano due to its large population size and lack of competition from other towns in the county. The growth of Plano led to the town's decline in popularity over time; however, it remains an important economic center for Tyler County with a wide range of businesses including restaurants, health care services, advertising agencies and medical clinics. In 2014, Forest Hill was renamed "Texas Town" in honor of Governor Rick Perry's visit there during his state visit to Tyler County that year.
