Fredericksburg, Texas is a small town located in Wise County, Texas. The population was 1,827 as of the 2010 census. It is part of the Amarillo, TX Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in this area was James Hickey and his wife Nancy who arrived around 1836. They built a cabin on the east side of the creek and called it Fort Hickey. A post office was established in 1839, and by 1845 there were 10 residents in Fredericksburg. In 1851 a log courthouse and jail were erected on Main Street cornering Elm Street; they were used until 1865 when new buildings were erected on Pemberton Road. A Methodist Episcopal Church was organized in 1861 and enlarged in 1865-66; it merged with another church two years later to form the present Baptist church building which stands today on Center street between Elm and Maple Streets. A school opened for students in 1870 but closed due to lack of money; it reopened under the name "H McCombs School" three years later when more money became available from an increase in local land sales. Fredericksburg had its first store open at 12 Broad Street (now US 281) about 1895; that business continued until 1925 when it closed because of over-production by Chinese immigrants who had moved into the area after coming to America with their families during the gold rush era. The first post office opened here on December 25, 1893 (named Post Office Creek), closed January 4th 1937 due to mail fraud by employees associated with that agency, reopened February 21st 1937 as Post Office Creek station with no changes other than name change until its closure again October 9th 1984 pursuant to various federal regulations implementing Dole's commercial marketing program known as EOP - Elizabethtown Plaza off I-30 Exit 259). The last resident died at home on November 3rd 1990 having served here since 1900 when he brought his daughter home from China after serving there for six years as an American Field Service missionary working among Cantonese converts during World War II while her father served as military officer attached to China Airborne Corps Headquarters Dept., Far East Command (& subsequently also Town Clerk here)). There are now only memories of those early days including one story about how Mrs Hickey shared cooking oil with her husband so they could have enough heat during winter evenings despite living near Oak Cliff where thermostats did not work! After she passed away he buried her within sight of his Cabin northeast of town along Clear Fork River some yards from where he once sat enjoying dinner preparatory to spending winter nights hunting deer upstream using rifle & bow! One hundred fifty years later we still celebrate Christmas Eve evening service at our Baptist Church following traditional methods including eggnog or gingerbread houses made using diminutive red bows & silver buttons instead of traditional green leaves! One interesting tidbit about this community is that both banks which provide most banking services here still remain operating although their names have been changed several times over their history reflecting changing needs/interests within their respective fields: First National Bank became First United StatesBank effective May 2nd 2014 while Texas Second National Bank rebranded itself Capital City bank effective July 17th 2017 just prior to being acquired by Wells Fargo late summer 2018!!! This unusual situation has likely arisen because both institutions have been forced out OF BUSINESS due largelyto competition from larger banks initiated by Dole thru various rules promulgated under EOP - Elizabethtown Plaza aka 'Wells Fargo'.

Coffee was also enjoyed by the Spanish Inquisition because it was a means of procuring spiritual guidance during religious ceremonies. The Dutch started roasting coffee in Amsterdam in 1695. Coffee became popular there because it wasn’t as expensive as other crops and people could get it everywhere without having to pay taxes on it." During World War II, Dutch coffeemakers produced more than 1 million bags of vacuum-packed ground coffee per day for the British military. After the war, Dutch coffeemakers resumed production until they were discontinued in 1993. In 1971, Starbucks opened its first store in Seattle's Pioneer Square district, which helped start what is now known as American Coffee Day around the world."

Fredericksburg, Texas is a small town located in the U.S. state of Texas and is part of the Fredericksburg-Manahoma Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 3,541 at the 2010 census. It is named for General Robert E. Lee, who fought in the American Civil War and died there in 1865. The first residents of what is now Fredericksburg were farmers and their families who settled on land that was donated to them by General Robert E. Lee during his time as governor of Virginia. In 1857, work began on building a road from San Antonio to Fredericksburg which became known as the Mexican Road because it crossed through Mexico City on its way to connect with other routes leading to Austin and Mexico City. The town grew rapidly thanks to its location near two major railroads and its access to water supplies from three rivers). In 1870, when Confederate forces retreated from Fort Sumter after a successful siege, they left behind many military hardware and supplies including cannons, ammunition, horses, carts and wagons which were quickly sold off by those responsible for selling them before returning home. This event is commonly referred to as the Black Saturday Massacre because black Unionists were killed while trying to loot stores run by Confederate soldiers retreating into Texas) . After Reconstruction ended in America in 1877 following Abraham Lincoln's election as president, most white Texans moved away while African Americans remained behind in what is now downtown Fredericksburg (the old black section of town today). In 1915-16 – after World War I had ended – General John J."Arnold" Roberts decided that he would like to settle down in central Texas so he built a house here called "Roberts' Hill". Army officers living nearby also decided they wanted someplace where they could raise their families without having to constantly move around camps or fight in wars overseas; this led directly to the establishment of Fredericksburg schools (now known as Central High School), Post Office (1896), Masonic Lodge No. 5 (1899), Baptist Church (1901), Episcopal Church (1905) and Business District No. 1 (1920).
