Stiles Gillem as the first pastor of the First Baptist Church in Georgetown. This church served as the town's cathedral until it burned down in 1911. Reverend Gillem also founded two other churches: First Presbyterian Church and Second Presbyterian Church. In 1946, Mayor Forrest Pogue established Municipal Court No 1 within the walls of City Hall which remains one of the most important courtrooms in downtown Georgetown today. That same year, Mayor Forrest Pogue also dedicated a new park called Central Park which is currently home to several large events each year including music concerts and basketball gamesletting tournaments catering to all levels of participants from pre school through college age kids up into adult playwrights/performers! A few years later when City Hall moved from where it had been since 1886 into what is now called Government House Annexe on Market Street NW just east of Sumner Street NW during Mayor Harry Stephenson's administration it became clear that there were more needs than could be met by simply moving City Hall again so much effort had gone into maintaining not only City Hall but also Auxiliary Buildings such as Police Station, Fire Department Station No 2 (now demolished) etc... Georgetown, Texas is a small town located in Cameron County, Texas. It was founded in 1876 by George Washington Smith and named for the Episcopal bishop of Baltimore, William H. Georgetown. The small town population hit 10,000 by 1910 and has decreased since then. In 2013, Georgetown was one of only a few communities in Cameron County to see a decrease in its population after the arrival of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The first settlers to Georgetown were farmers who came from Virginia in 1876. They started a small homestead and raised cattle, pigs, horses and chickens until they decided to move away from the farming life and start a new life in what is now Cameron County. The original settlers were future Ulysses S. Grant Woodruff (1850-1924), his wife Elizabeth (née McFadden) Woodruff (1859-1932), their son George Washington Smith (1875-1967), daughter Helen Harper (1879-1966) and their son John Witherspoon Harper Jr.(1881-1963). In 1907, when Congress passed the Land Act of 1907 which gave more land to Texans through federal grants instead of panhandling or selling property outright like before, many people around Georgetown voted to rename the small town for then congressman James Fenton Gilmore III because he had championed such legislation when he served as a state senator from nearby Fort Worth back in 1905-06. Congressman Gilmore also donated land near Georgetown so that it could be built as an elementary school which opened its doors on November 2nd 1912 with 134 students under Director Edward Leland Hickson’s guidance including future mayor Glen Cooksey(1915-) who attended classes at “the hill” until 1928 When Driggs School District merged into Fort Worth Independent School District #2 which included all of Cameron County; however both schools still use Mr Hickson’s old name – Georgetown Elementary School & Middle School continue to use Driggs Avenue as their mailing address even though they are actually located on Cavalier Road just outside of town limits! When Lyndon B Johnson became president in 1964 he ordered that all schools across America should have white boards reading “Georgetown High School” rather than Mrs Hickson’s old name – but this order was never fulfilled unfortunately! Today you can still find occasional cars with whiteboards reading “Mr G Herpston” or something similar parked outside Mrs G Herpston Elementary during lunchtime! In 1975 local developer Don Sheppard bought some acres adjacent to Graham Air Force Base for $1 million dollars making it possible for him to build an apartment complex on what would become known as Sheppard Place which today contains over 100 apartments including 20 presidential suites! The development soon became controversial due to its proximity directly next door to LBJ Presidential Library where building officials refused requests by several groups including Mothers Against Drunk Driving who wanted access to safe parking lots adjacent to library while protesters gathered every day outsidelibrary while LBJ viewed video footage inside library!!!! As if things weren't bad enough there was also growing concern about drugs being brought into town by soldiers stationed at Graham AFB although no evidence has ever been found linking these soldiers anywhere whatsoever with any crime!!! Consequently two nights ago during Operation Cedar Leaf law enforcement officers respondedormalizea car containing suspected cocaine inside Sheppard Place after receiving information from citizens about someone having been driving around looking for drugs!! Unfortunately thisOperation didn't go well as multiple arrests were made resulting in 5 criminal defendants charged with various offenses ranging from possession/sale/distribution/manufacturing cocaine within 1 thousand feet of educational institutions up until importation into US!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In 1840, Georgetown was renamed Fort Worth after General William Travis. It grew rapidly during the 1850s and 1860s with the arrival of settlers from Texas and Mexico. In 1865, Georgetown became an independent city when it merged with Arlington to form the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. The city experienced rapid growth during the 20th century, becoming one of America's most populous cities. In 1967, Georgetown was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its "unique architecture, history and urban environment."
