There is a long and rich coffee history in Huntsville, Texas. Coffee was first roasted here in the early 1800s by farmers and ranchers who grew coffee trees on their properties. The first cafe in Huntsville was opened in 1876 by John Sibley. In 1916, The Huntsville News printed the first issue of its own newspaper, which continues to be published today. The city's rich coffee tradition began when Dutch settlers founded a small town called Overholt in what is now northwestern Alabama, and started growing coffee beans for export. By the 1830s, these Dutch colonists had established a small town near Huntsville known as Overholt because of its proximity to Holland and its high quality coffee beans. Coffee production continued to grow throughout the 19th century until it peaked around 1840- 1850 due to new technology that made processing large quantities of caffeine easier than ever before. However, during the mid-19th century there were several technological advancements that caused an increase in coffee production including: irrigation systems using canals that brought water from deep within valleys; increased use of bellows or vacuum presses which extracted more flavor from beans;[5] and improvements in methods of packaging and marketing which allowed for larger profits for coffee tycoons such as Andrew Carnegie and Cornelius Vanderbilt.[6] During World War II, much of the local produce were used to make munitions so most crops were destroyed but some fields produced food like cottonseed oil which was later turned into gasoline (helping create automobiles). When Germany invaded Holland during World War II they took all over Netherlands possessions including Overholt including their valuable crop - Coffee! After years of negotiation with enemy forces Dutch officials decided to exchange three thousand metric tons of Coffee Branzels for war bonds worth $2 million dollars! It wasn't until after World War II when Holland agreed to allow America to possess this valuable crop - giving us our very own Hermann Goering type personality!
Huntsville is a city in the Texas Panhandle and the county seat of Marshall County. It was founded in 1873 by J.D. Garland and has been the largest town in Marshall County since its incorporation. The population was 1,959 at the 2010 census, making it the fifth-largest city in Texas. Huntsville is also home to NASA's Johnson Space Center and many other government buildings, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, which is located on Courthouse Square. The first inhabitants of what is now Huntsville were Native American traders and their horses who passed through from Oklahoma during Indian Wars era. A post office called Garland was established in 1873, and remained in operation until 1907. In 1902, Houston entrepreneur James Hogg bought land east of present-dayHuntsville and laid out a community called Oak Cliff on what would become Garland Boulevard. By 1910, most of Huntsville had been developed as part of Oak Cliff with a two-story high school, Baptist church, general store/post office Annex (now an apartment complex), theater (then known as "The Palazzo"), cotton gin/spinning mill (later known as "The Cotton Mill"), streetcar line (now known as "The streetscars"), coal mine (later known as "The Mines", now rebranded part of Energy Transfer Partners), fire station (now Kylie Place Apartments), hotel/motel complexes ("Cabinet," later renamed Embassy Suites) In 1913 Judge John Pemberton became US Attorney for Marshall County after being chosen over more qualified candidates by President Wilson due to his then current status as Chief Justice of the Texas Supreme Court—a position he had held for 10 years prior to that time. On November 3 that year – one day after becoming U S Attorney – Judge Pemberton announced plans to build a courthouse downtown with funding provided by Houston banker Sam Rayburn Sr.. The cornerstone for what would eventually be called Pemberton Hall was laid on October 25th 1915 by Mayor John Wirtz with pouring starting on December 2nd that same year; however due to World War I hostilities this project never progressed beyond development studies because both sides refused to engage in any type of military conflict within their respective nations during those times period despite numerous requests from both governments interested therein On January 1st 1920 Sam Rayburn Jr., prominent Houston banker turned politician & founder (& mayoralty candidate) of Midtown Houston received word from Washington D C via cablegram informing him that Judge John Pemberton had been elected Chief Justice & set about organizing all available federal resources into one large effort against organized crime within America led by newly appointed New York mob boss Francesco Sforza A group led by George Ellingwood formed a committee composed mostly local businessmen named after themselves chaired by Ellingwood himself along with attorney Charles Burt who convinced various state supreme court justices plus then Governor Ross Perot to sign Resolution 6992 creating State Crime Commission headed up primarily by then District Attorney Claude Pepper which ultimately resulted in acquittal or leniency given certain typesof crimes such as bribery when compared to cases prosecuted under previous district attorney’s policies . After successfully selling his interests back into stock following his conviction for bribery earlier that year– verified through records kept at Dallas law firm Peacock & Tollison LLP where he still practices today[5] George Ellingwood served jail time thereafter before moving westward into real estate management where he currently resides . Frank Stroud served simultaneously concurrently from early 1923 until late 1925 responsible for building many downtown blocks across town while also continuing work on what would come to be know locally as “Stroud Tower” which still stands today All told there were effectively dozens upon dozens if not hundreds governmental entities housed inside City Limits limits barely touching upon even 1 percent or less fractional acreage utilized inside present day downtown core area comprising over 20% total square footage inside municipality boundaries at any point during its history despite having nearly twice current municipal population size

It was during this time that many major Developments took place within Huntsville including: Alcoa Aluminum Company's aluminum smelting plant began operations in 1951; Alabama Power Company established its transmission line through town in 1954; NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center opened its doors in 1960; and UT Health Sciences Center opened its doors as both an academic hospital and research center in 1984.

The original downtown business district still exists today and includes many historic buildings dating back to before 1900 such as the Hunstler Building and the First National Bank building that are both currently being used for office space by several local businesses including Blue Water Coffee Company In 1916 General Motors moved its plants from Flint Michigan to Huntsville due to World War I military production needs; these plants produced some of GM's most famous vehicles including Cadillac and Buick trucks. After World War I ended, GM moved its plants again but this time to Pontiac Michigan where they remained until their closure in 1965.During this time period also other companies like Eastman Kodak bought or leased land near HuntsVILLE for their photo lab operation that created some of Alabama's earliest film footage
