Live Oak is a small town in the county of Travis, Texas. The population was 581 at the 2010 census. Live Oak is located on the eastern border of Travis County and is bordered by Waller County to the north and east, McLennan County to the south, Comanche County to the west, and Williamson County to the northwest. According to the United States Census Bureau, Live Oak has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1 km²), all of it land. The history of Live Oak begins with pioneer James Hogg who settled there in 1836. He built a log cabin which he named "Hogtown". Hogg was one of the founders of Austin and later served as its first mayor. In 1853, John Wesley Hardin arrived in Live Oak and surveyed land for his cattle ranch which eventually became known as Kerr Ranch. Hardin's son James Wirt Hardin developed Kerr Ranch into one of Texas' most prosperous cattle ranches during the early 20th century. In 1910, Jules Ewing purchased 1/4 mile (0.8 km²) of what is now called Ewing Lane from Allen Sayers for $425 ($ today). He founded Dallas Cowboys football team that played their first game in Dallas against Baylor University on November 14 th , 1910 at Trinity Stadium (now AT&T Stadium). For many years prior to his purchase, Ewing had been unsuccessfully trying to find a spot within TX where he could build a stadium large enough to seat over 100,000 people without having it ruin nearby residential neighborhoods." It wasn’t until after purchasing Arlington Street property adjacent to Joe Robbie Stadium that he finally found an ideal location – just outside downtownDallas – for his new stadium project." John Seawood also purchased part or all ofcenterfield fromEwing shortly thereafter which would become Robertson Stadium" In 1969 Redzepi opened up his own restaurant inside Robertson Stadium calledTx-Mex before then becoming famous as Rangers Ballpark owner" In 1990 construction began onstarbucks plazaadia across from Robertson Stadium along Arlington Street near 610 Loop Road eventual completed in 1993" Home Depot moved into their current headquarters building next doortoRobertsonStadium in 2001

Live Oak, Texas is a small town in Hudspeth County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,693 at the 2010 census. Live Oak is part of the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area. The settlement of Live Oak began as an agricultural community in 1876 on the banks of Buffalo Bayou. In 1907, A.H. Barnes and his brother Cyrus founded the first post office in Live Oak with nine mail sacks from Houston. In 1909, Live Oak was named after a large live oak that stood between Buffalo Bayou and their farmstead. The old growth live oak still stands today and can be seen from many parts of town including Main Street and Buffalo Bayou within walking distance of most homes. Although not responsible for starting the passenger train service to Amarillo (now Lubbock), Brooks Brothers sent several wagonloads of lumber to Live Oak during World War I so that local residents could build military barracks and other supplies for soldiers stationed in surrounding counties The city's namesake tree was cut down by vandals in 1979 but replanted two years later with larger branches

Live Oak first appeared as a small settlement on maps in 1836. In 1845, it became an incorporated town and was named for oak trees that grew near the town site. In 1896, Live Oak became a state capital of Texas and saw its first session of the legislature. As capital city, Live Oak hosted many events including statewide fairs and demonstrations against slavery before it fell to Austin in 1898. In 1945, Live Oak re-joined East Texas as one of its 32 municipalities within the new state of Texas. Since 2000, LiveOak has seen continued growth with several annexations from other parts of Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex; most notably Springtown annexed in 2006 and Carrollton annexed in 2013
