In Missouri City, Texas, the coffee industry began in the early 1800s. The first coffee shop was opened in 1824 by a group of farmers who needed to get money for their crops. Coffee was grown and stored near Independence Hall in Philadelphia. The beans were brought back to Missouri City and roasted. The first coffee mill was built in 1827 by Rufus Mifflin. The mill produced two barrels of coffee per day. By 1830, there were over 50 coffee shops in town and over 1,000 people working at the mills. In 1830, a man named John Auld came to town with his family and started an inn called the Baldwin House which became one of the most popular spots for breakfast in town. In 1840, William Hogg set up a bakery next door to the Baldwin House which became known as Hogg’s Bakery. In 1848, Elijah Hicks founded another bakery called Hicks’ bakery on Elm Street which continued until 1902 when it closed due to financial difficulties. By 1850, there were 4 sawmills operating in town including 3 that processed lumber and 1 that did papermaking. By 1860, there were 12 businesses employing 100 or more people with 7 manufacturing processes: printing presses, dyeing plants (including one used for creating blue jeans), shoe factories and others associated with agriculture or manufactures such as boots and clothing production). In 1870-71, 2 new breweries opened: Easton Brewery (now Sam Adams) on Elm Street and Pemberton Brewing Company on Main Street (now part of White Rock Brewery). These breweries added much needed jobs intotown after years of decline during the Mexican War years when many men went off to fight instead of staying home to work their farms/cities/etc… During World War II many Missouri City residents served in military units including UPI photographer Edwin Ebenhack who took photos from Normandy through Holland during Operation Overlord; James Wohlwein who served as an artilleryman with 181st Infantry Regiment; Forrest Crouch who worked at Lockheed Israeli Aircraft Corporation plant; Bill Bechtoldt who served as an engineer at Raytheon Missile Systems Division Headquarters…. these are just a few examples among countless community members who gave their time away for country we all loved

In 1896, Italian immigrants Giovanni and Emilio Ascoli opened the first café in town and began to serve coffee with milk and sugar. The Ascoli family continued to operate their business until 1978. In 1916, two brothers named Harry and Roy Gardner opened the first restaurant in town called The Garden Café which served food and coffee together until 1949. At that time, they switched to serving only coffee. In 1951, Harry Gardner passed away which led to his son Roy taking over the running of the business. Over time, Roy's restaurants have become known for their unique blends of coffees such as Latte artico with chocolate or peppermint extract. Today there are over twenty-five Roy Gardner cafes scattered throughout Missouri City including one located at 6052 IH-10 W just east of Northpark Boulevard on FM 571/US 281 (the old Harry Gardner Cafe).
Missouri City is located in the Texas Panhandle and is the smallest city in Texas. The population of Missouri City was 5,065 at the 2010 census. It is surrounded by the unincorporated communities of Slaughtertown to the north, Westphalia to the east, and Clear Fork to the south. The first settlers in Missouri City were entrepreneurs who arrived in 1881. They began trading goods with Mexican traders and built a small town on a bend in Clear Fork River. The settlers were unable to sustain themselves so they sold their holdings to others in 1885. In 1903, Missouri City became an incorporated municipality with a population of 3,000 residents. In 1948, when Texas became an independent state, Missouri City withdrew from its municipal government and formed its own police department which remains operational today. In 1978, Missouri City voted to become an official city within the newly formed Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area but has not rejoined that community since then. Today, there are over 1,000 businesses operating within Missouri City limits and it is home to more than 100 residences including luxury condos as well as numerous family-friendly attractions like Children's Museum of America and Convention Center Complex

Coffee became popularized as a morning drink in England by 1798 and soon spread to other parts of the world. In 1825, Dutch roasters started producing high-quality coffee for export; this led to increased demand for beans all over the world. During World War II, many different types of beverages were rationed due to shortages of food or materials. Coffee was one of these items; it continued to be produced despite low levels of availability even though other foods and materials were much more plentiful. After World War II ended, many different types of coffee became available again; however, some people still think that espresso is best because it is stronger than other types of coffee.

Missouri City is a small town located in Webb County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,597 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The town was founded by Nicholas A. Smith in 1876 as an agricultural center on the banks of the Colorado River adjacent to present day Richardson Ranch. The name "Missouri City" was chosen because it was one of only two towns in Texas that had both a state and federal government building at the same time (the other being Dallas). One of Missourian's most popular attractions is its annual Independence Day parade which features floats made from all sorts of materials including clothes, car parts and even furniture salvaged from businesses closed during the year. In addition to its parade, there are also several festivals each year including Tex Mex Festival on Memorial Day weekend and Christmasfest on New Year's Eve. In recent years, Missouri City has become a major transportation hub for Southwest Texas with multiple exits available for Interstate 35 and State Highway 183 near downtown as well as various miles of expressways leading away from it such as I-10 and I-35W
On November 1, 1871, Missouri City became the county seat of Hudspeth County. The first courthouse was built in 1872 and it served until 1898. A new courthouse was built in 1915 and it served until 1966.
