It is no secret that Orange, Texas is home to one of the most unique coffee scenes in the US. The city has been known for its roasting and brewing industries since before it was a town. In fact, Orange was once the birthplace of two of America's premiere coffee roasters: Peet's Coffee and Dutch Bros. And even today, some of the best artisan coffee in the country can be found here. The history of Orange's coffee industry goes back to at least 1892, when a group of businessmen from Houston established Dutch Bros. Coffee Co., which roasted and brewed its own beans onsite. The company continued to grow over the years, eventually becoming one of America's leading coffeespeakers. Today, Dutch Bros.' legacy lives on through their subsidiary Dutch Bros. Coffee Roasters - which oversees all aspects of production from roast to packaging - as well as their numerous retail stores across North Texas and South Florida. Of course, not all OFA members live in or near Orange; there are also many fine roasters scattered throughout much of Texas and Oklahoma (including Austin's excellent Sam Adams Brewery). However, it is unquestionable that Dutch Bros.' purebred beans are among TX's most venerable Legacy Coffee products - and they continue to be massively popular with customers across all demographics!

There is a long coffee history in Orange, Texas. The town was founded by two Englishmen, John Wesley and James Robertson in 1836. The two men named their first coffee house the Red Lion Coffee House. They began trading coffee beans and selling roasted products from their home on Main Street. The business grew quickly and soon they had a second location, the White Horse Coffee House on Ector Street. In 1851, they opened the Orange Coffee House on I-10 near FM 522. This was the first commercial institution in Orange and it continued to serve as the town's main source of income until 1975. The early Dutch settlers who arrived in Orange also contributed to the coffee industry in some way. Johannes van der Velde purchased land near where present day FM 522 is located in 1793 and started growing coffee trees. He later sold his land to William Hogg, who built what is now known as the Van der Velde Building at 2111 S Seminary Road (now part of campus of Southern Methodist University). Hogg used his property for roasting beans until 1800 when he sold it to David Bogue who established what is now known as Bogue's Coffee Company at 1024 Congress Ave (now part of Rice University). The first Starbucks opened its doors in April 1994 inside an old tire shop on Main Street in Orange under the name "Starbucks II." At that time Starbucks only served cold drinks with ice cream or whipped cream and no food items.

It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area and has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen: Cfa). The soil here is deep red clay with some sand. Orange began as a Methodist mission station in 1849 and became an independent city in 1911. It was named for General James Fenton orange Grower and philanthropist who donated land to it. The city's economy depends on agriculture, manufacturing, services and trade. Manufacturing includes furniture, plastics, metal products and vehicles. Services include restaurants, retail stores and health care providers. The local television market is large enough that most stations are available via digital TV within their respective markets or over the web from Comcast Xfinity or DirecTV Now.

Some of these coffee roasters had a homebrewed reputation for their unique and experimental coffees. One such small-time roaster was The Artisan Coffee Company in Quincy, Massachusetts. This company was founded by two brothers, Harry and Gordon Wright, who were also behind The Boston Coffee House. The Artisan Coffee Company began production in 1896 and released its first cup of coffee in 1897. The company was originally based out of a garage in Quincy. In 1916, the company moved to larger quarters on First Street in Quincy. The Artisan Coffee Company produced over 100 different types of coffee beans from its origins until it closed its doors in 1967. After its closure, many of the beans that the Wright brothers used to create their unique flavors went into storage and were only available to collectors or those with special access to them. Today, a few remaining cups of Artisan Coffee Company's delicious roasted beans are still being enjoyed by enthusiasts around the world!

Orange, Texas is a small town in the Panhandle of Texas. It was founded in 1881 by Texans who fled Mexico during the Mexican-American War. The town became a railroad center and was known for its oranges. In 1916, Orange named its first post office after General Winfield Scott Polk, commander of the Union army that fought in the American Civil War. The post office closed in 1922. In 1938, Orange annexed the neighboring town of Indian Wells. The towns of Indian Wells and Orange share a common history asboth were founded by Texans fleeing Mexico during the Mexican-American War. After they annexed each other's towns, they both lost much cultural input and development until recent years when both towns have seen significant growth in their respective areas thanks to new businesses and events that attract visitors from all over Texas. One of the most important aspects that has helped to revive these two historic towns is their joint effort to coin their own name for themselves - Orange County’s first such endeavor! Both towns picked up on this idea and quickly began enjoying increased popularity due to it becoming one of their primary sticking points in negotiations with county officials about renewing building permits or increasing funding for infrastructure projects around town...As we move into 2019 and 2020 there are more opportunities than ever before for our local businesses & residents to come together & celebrate our success!
