Orange, Texas is a city in Harris County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,571 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Harris County and home to the University of Houston. The name "Orange" comes from its location on an old Spanish claim called "Rosario de la Oranges" (now part of Orange) which was given to José de Urquiza in 1786 by King Charles III of Spain as part of Treaty of Paris following the Mexican War. The first post office opened in Orange on January 12, 1876. The town's incorporation took place on October 15, 1877. At that time it had a population of only 10 people and consisted mostly of farmers and their families living near Houston. In 1907 Orange began annexing portions of Huffield County to form its own government; this annexation created a new municipality with a population over 100 people which continued until 1954 when all but one section (the portion around FM 1960) became part ofHouston. In 1909 President William Taft visited Orange and pronounced it "the most beautiful town I have ever seen." A year later he appointed Mayor Houstoun as his Special Agent for improving public transportation within the city limits- an important role because Harris County then lacked any means other than horse or buggy to reach many places within the city limits. During World War II much development took place in Orange; during this time many local businesses were closed due to rationing and war production requirements however many reopened after hostilities ended as new industries emerged such as plastics manufacturing and software design services respectively. After V-E Day orange experienced increased military activity with servicemen occupying homes throughout the community making use of open garages for storage while they awaited discharge or re-entry into civilian life; numerous building supplies were also seized during this time period including nails, screws, hoses and other common household items considered essential wartime requisites by victors and vanquished alike alike City growth resumed after Korea’s “unification” in 1945 with great strides made in education, technology & business achievements both inside & outside our borders - all culminating with Hurricane Ike hitting us hard early last year! What followed was another 2 ½ years where we slowly started recovering – thank you God for HIS grace! One can still see someOf THAT infrastructure from #KoreaWars days here w/o walls or fences—still MIGHTY TO SEE!

In 1941, the Coast Guard replaced the navy as the main deterrent against maritime aggression in the United States. The Coast Guard has played an important role in American history both during World War II and during peacetime since its inception. The Service has received numerous prestigious awards, including being named one of America’s Most admired organizations by Time Magazine in 1984. In 2002, President George W Bush designated the Coast Guard “the nation’s marine guardian”. Today, the Coast Guard fulfills a number of missions that are critical to our safety and security: providing search and rescue services; enforcing laws and regulations governing boating, fishing, shipping, aircraft or sea traffic; protecting national infrastructure; conducting law enforcement operations;and more. Additionally, members of the Coast Guardsman community provide essential support to local police departments across America through patrols and special tours that can range from shaking down tourists on vacation to rescuing people who have become lost at sea. During wartime efforts such as World War II or Operation Neptune’s Spear (the Korean War), it was often not possible for military forces stationed ashore to immediately response with full force due to naval blockade capabilities or enemy air attacks. This required Coordinated Task Forces composed of several different branches of government led by a Commander-in-Chief or Admiral based ashore who would direct all activities while ships patrolled off shorelines awaiting orders from higher up unable to intervene directly due to distance/time limitations or enemy action close aboard vessels*. This type of Joint Task Force is also referred to today as Maritime Component Command (MCC) which provides Headquarters support for Commands within each Military Branch responsible for theirrespective area including Sailors assigned under MCC commands which include Patrol Craft Units (PCU)*, Helicopter Squadron VH-2D* assets**

Orange, Texas is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, located on the Mexican border. The population was 621 at the 2010 census. It is part of the El Paso–Edinburg-Mission Valley Metropolitan Statistical Area. Orange became a city in 1907 and annexed parts of Bowie County in 1912 before becoming an independent municipality in 1914. The name "Orange" comes from two Spanish words: Oro and Parejo meaning "a red fruit." The first person to identify oranges as something other than just red grapes was Antonio Gomez de la Vega who noticed that some orange trees were bearing yellows and oranges instead of just red grapes. Oftentimes when Mexicans would cross into US territory they would take whatever wine or country spirits they could find with them, so it wasn't until 1825 that anyone realized there might be another color under those vines - orange! In 1907, citrus fruits were being shipped from Spain by ship to America and people started calling oranges "Texas Reds". In 1912, Bowie County was split between El Paso and Juarez Counties creating what would become Orange County. Although annexation efforts continued until 1914 due to lack of interest by both cities (due largely to political differences), Orange formally became a city on December 8th, 1907 after approval by the City Council over objections from neighboring Bowie County which only days earlier had voted against annexation because it felt its boundaries were too close to Juarez for its own good! The original legislation authorizing Orange's incorporation stated “It is hereby agreed that…the inhabitants of this community may join together for common purposes necessary for their welfare” However, no such agreement ever materialized as tensions between the two municipalities quickly turned into hostility over land use decisions made within each municipality alone without regard to the other’s interests; resulting in race riots that took place on both sides of Mexico-US boundary on January 20th 1908 after residents of Orange successfully petitioned United States Customs officials about possible smuggling activities taking place through their town borders!
