In addition there are several smaller businesses including: ABC Radio Corporation (AM), ChevronTexaco USA LP (CHEVRON), Ford Motor Company Store No 42001 (FORD), Humble Oil Co., LLC (), Kroger Supermarket chain (), Smithfield Foods Incorporated (), Tyson Foods Incorporated (). Finally there are several churches such as First Baptist Church (); Methodist Episcopal Church (); Presbyterian church (); Lutheran church (). The economy of Port Nechs depends largely upon its location close to Interstate 10 as well as truck traffic coming into and leaving Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport; however many small businesses have closed or been converted to office buildings over the years because they could not compete against larger companies that have access to better transportation options or more courteous customer service departments. There is currently no plans for any major development in town except possibly slight renovation work at some existing buildings which would impact only a few thousand dollars per year total; this would be done without affecting either employment or economic growth rates within town proper
