The Coast Guard in Robinson, Texas has been providing essential service to the community for over 120 years. The Coast Guard is responsible for regulating and protecting coastline, waters and airspace. Before the Coast Guard was established in 1915, there were various means used by individuals or groups to provide security along our coastlines. These include private militias, pirates, Native Americans,1851 gold seekers prospecting for treasure off the Texas coast, settlers travelling through international waters looking for land to settle on - all contributing to a general feeling of insecurity that characterized much of thewestern US at this time. A group of men who had formed themselves into a corps de l’ordre (a French word meaning “guardian”) under Captain John A.Robinson – later United States Marshal – set out from Fort Worth in 1876 seeking permission from Mexican President Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna to establish a military post at Matamoros on Texan soil. They received an enthusiastic response from local citizens who saw the need for a law enforcement presence on their doorstep after encounters with outlaws such as Sam Houston and Kit Carson throughout much of that year. In 1877-78 Captain Robinson organized what would become known as Company C ofthe Texas Rangers under his command. This force patrolled coastal areas between Corpus Christi and San Antonio engaging smugglers and bandits as well as apprehending fugitives from justice. In addition to its activities within state borders it also responded to reports of piracy off the Louisiana coast (particularly Offshore Banker's Islands), participating in several successful expeditions against drunken sailors during Spanish occupation days before American annexation in 1846 brought about restrictions on piracy outside Mexican territorial waters All these efforts led up eventuallytoCaptain ROBINSON's foundingofCompanyC OFTHE TEXAS RANGERS AS A COAST GUARD OPERATIONS CENTER IN ROOSEVELT COUNTY ON MAY 15TH 1912 . Robinson, Texas is a city in Starr County, Texas, United States. The population was 553 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area. Robinson was founded on November 17, 1879 by J.D. Ladd and others as the town of Red Oak. On February 20, 1906, it became a city when it merged with neighboring Round Rock to form the current city of Austin.[1] The city has been named for General Andrew Johnson (1785-1865), who served as United States President from 1865 to 1867 and as Commander in Chief of all American Armies during the American Civil War (1861-1865). Johnson was born in Robinsonsville, Kentucky and died at his home near Washington County Courthouse in Lexington, Kentucky after being shot by John Wilkes Booth while attending a public meeting there on April 14th 1865.

Robinson, Texas is a small town located in Williamson County, Texas. The population was 4,575 at the 2000 census. Robinson was founded in 1881 by John Robinson and his wife Lucy. The community grew rapidly after the opening of the Mexicali Railroad in 1887. By 1912, Robinson had become one of the most important towns in Williamson County because of its commerce and mineral resources. In 1957, the town voted to secede from Williamson County and become an independent city John Robinson's grandfather emigrated from Ireland to America in 1847. John Robinson established himself as a rancher and landowner in what is now Robertson County before moving to Williamson County in 1881. He married Lucy on October 20th, 1881, and they began farming together until their deaths three years later on January 3rd, 1886. Their five children - John W., Alice E., Mary J., James F., and Lillie A.- all played significant roles within their families during their lifetimes: John W.'s sons took over running the ranch once he passed away; Alice ran a general store; Mary ran home economics classes for schoolchildren; James F.'s business became successful enough that he built his own house; and Lillie started her own business- an ice cream parlor- when she turned 17 years old. The Mexicali Railroad opened up new opportunities for businesses like Robinson's as well as settlers who were drawn to its surveying capabilities for valuable minerals such as coal and silver. This economic boom led to more people coming into Robertson County which also meant more houses being erected along Main Street especially around 1903 when it widened from two lanes to four-ways traffic with a median separating them! The architecture of these homes reflects this wealth with Richardsonian Romanesque Revival styles becoming popular during this time period due to advances made by architects like Frank Lloyd Wright while still retaining many traditional Irish features like large door openings (later replaced by windows) that helped cooled buildings inside even on hot days! One of the first things Mayor Don Davidson did upon taking office was improve public infrastructure including sidewalks, lighting, water mains/pipes/seawalls etcetera which residents could finally use without fear of robbery or vandalism! He also introduced new taxes which funded much needed improvements such as asphalt roads (now replaced by gravel), streetlights throughout town proper (which came standard after World War II), fire hydrants throughout town proper (which were installed after tornadoes struck), trash cans near schools so students wouldn't have to walk far each morning or bring back heavy trash bags full of garbage each nightfall!, wider streets so cars couldn't drive straight through intersections (!?), improved road widths everywhere else so no one had TO cross busy streets at high speeds!, etcetera!. These initiatives not only benefitted citizens but also created jobs for local men who spent their days building everything from sidewalks to watermains! It wasn't until after Mayor Davidson retired that things changed drastically starting with Jim Franklin taking office who increased crime rates significantly while neglecting infrastructure maintenance which lead eventually to numerous tragedies such as 2003's arson attack on Holy Cross Elementary School where 26 students & staff perished due largelyto inadequate security measures put into place during Mayor Davidson's tenure !! In 2017 another tragic event occurred when 5 adults & 2 juveniles died following a car accident on FM 1960 just outside town limits
