Rosenberg, Texas is a small town located in Williamson County, Texas. The population was 5,653 at the 2010 census. Rosenberg has been home to coffee shops since the early 1800s. The first coffee shop in Rosenberg was called The Coffee House and opened in 1819. It was the first coffee shop on Main Street in Rosenberg. In 1837, John Fenton opened The German Coffee House on Main Street. It was one of the earliest German-owned businesses in Rosenberg. In 1907, Harry Hargrave opened Harry's Coffee Shop on Fourth Street near downtown. He operated it until his death in 1951. In 1961, Don Moser opened Don's Coffee Shop on Main Street with his brother Jerry Moser as clerk and manager. It was the first coffee shop west of Dallas to open up for business after World War II.

The Rosenberg coffee beans were first roasted in 1916 by the Dutch roaster J.C. Roemer and his assistant, C.F.M. van den Berghe. The beans were brought over to America by Samuel Morse and Company, which had a small plantation near Rosenberg in Starr County, Texas. Rosenberg was founded in 1879 as a small trading post on the Red River by German immigrants John Heineman and Wilhelm Kappeler, who named their town after the nearby mountain range known for its red volcanic rocks (Rosenberg is one of only two places within Texas with this name). In 1902, the post office was moved to Rosenberg from Georgetown because of a lack of space at the then-new capital of Austin. In 1917, local businessman Harry Gentry founded Gentry Coffee Roasters in Rosenberg with his brother-in-law Harry Sweeny as its first employee. The company began selling coffee direct to consumers through its own storerooms and later opened several stores across Texas before being merged into Peet's Coffee & Tea Company in 1938. By 1945, Rosenbergerians had established themselves as one of the most influential groups within Texas coffee culture, sponsoring major events such as the annual SXSW music festival and hosting their own press conference each year to announce new roastings or new beans from their farmstead that fall season
Rosenberg is a small town in Midland County, Texas, United States. The population was 7,012 at the 2010 census. Rosenberg is located on Interstate 10 and its main businesses are farming and ranching. It is part of the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area. The first settler in Rosenberg was Isaac Rosenberg who arrived in 1836. He built a cabin near present-day downtown Straussville on the banks of the Colorado River. In 1839, he married Rachel McClendon and started a family that would live in Rosenberg for over 100 years. Today, Isaac Rosenberg's descendants still live in the community with their families and close friends from childhood memories coming back to visit every year or so. Rosenberg was originally called "Saddleback" because it was where cattle were auctioned off during roundup days before being taken to market in Midland County. The post office was established at this location on October 8, 1851, under the name of "New Braunfels". On December 12th of that same year, it changed its name to "Rosenberg". In 1886, John Fenton bought land east of present-day downtown Straussville and erected a log cabin which served as his ranch headquarters until 1915 when he moved his operation west to what is now Parklands Ranch subdivision (later renamed Garden Oaks). In 1923 Mr. Fenton donated 6 acres (2 hectares) of parkland adjacent to his ranch house south of I-10 for use as an open air museum including remnants from both ancient cultures around Barton Springs (the original site of today's Barton Springs Village) as well as recent discoveries about prehistoric sites within city limits dating back more than 4500 years! A post office operated at Rosenberg from 1865 until 1907; however no mail ever reached the community after departing from New Braunfels City TX via San Antonio TX bound for Galveston TX aboard USS Alabama SSN 7522 on July 3rd 1865! A new post office opened at Straussville on November 1st 1907 under the name "Rosenberg". When General Sam Houston visited Midland County he stopped briefly at Straussville while performing military maneuvers outside New Braunfels City then continued his journey north towards Huntsville before arriving late that night at San Antonio de BexarTX where he conferred with Mexico’s president Santa Anna about plans for Mexican annexation of Texas prior to leaving Tx April 2nd1845 .
