The navy has been deployed in many different ways over the years. Some have been as small as a ship or boat, while others have been much larger and serve for centuries. One of the most famous deployments of the navy was during World War II when it was used to transport troops and supplies to Europe. This deployment is also known as The Lighthouse Mission. The navy has also been deployed in many other wars such as Korea and Vietnam. There are some deployments that are more well-known than others, but all of them have had a significant impact on the navy’s history and mission. Waxahachie, Texas is home to one of the largest Navy installations in the country. It is called Naval Station Corpus Christi and it serves as both an operational base for the navy and a storage facility for naval equipment. The station has served both military purposes and civilian purposes throughout its history. It was first built in 1907 by Captain John Sarton, who was responsible for creating Corpus Christi, Texas from land that had once belonged to Spanish colonists. Captain Sarton believed that Corpus Christi would play an important role in helping to protect inland shipping routes during World War I because of its location on an important shipping channel between Mexico City and Houston. After World War I ended, Captain Sarton decided that Naval Station Corpus Christi should be extended farther into town so that it could become a permanent resident community instead of serving only military purposes. In 1934, Commodore James Wirz became head of Naval Station Corpus Christi after being appointed by President Franklin D Roosevelt to manage all aspects of naval operations in Southwest Texas including Naval Station CorpusChristi. Commodore Wirz wanted Naval StationCorpus Cristi to become an efficient operation which would support not only military activities but also civilian needs such as housing, businesses, schools, etcetera which would help grow local economies outside of just service to the military institutions atCorpusChristi itself In 1944, USS Lexington (CV-2) collided with USS Yorktown (CV-14) off Philippine Sea while they were trying to make rendezvous with USS Hornet (CVN 74). Both ships were lost with most everyone on board either killed or captured including Commodore James Wirz who survived his collision without any injuries thanks largely to his command experience aboard Lexington which he learned from his predecessor Commodore William Farragut Jr.. After WWII ended Commodore Wirz decided that there should be another process for deciding who should receive damages from a ship collision rather than going through Admiralty Court since this type of decision often determined who received financial compensation from another nation even if their vessel was not actually damaged beyond repair! He therefore created the Navy Damage Award program which gave money out specifically unto ships involved in collisions like Lexington vs Yorktown

Waxahachie, Texas is a small town located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The population was 5,782 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth-Arlington, TX Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first white people to live in Waxahachie were Jesse James and his family who came overland from Kentucky in 1838. They started a cattle drive that traveled through this area and named their ranch "Waxahachie". A post office was established at Waxahachie in 1868, and by 1880 there were 150 residents living here. In 1901, an oil well was drilled in what is now downtown Waxahachie and production began soon after. In 1907, local citizens voted to name their town for General John J Pershing who had been commander of American forces during World War I. The townspeople donated $5,000 to Pershing's foundation to start the North Texas State Fair which has been held every year since then. In 1948 Texaco built its refinery here which still stands today. The refinery produced gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, asphalt and other products until it closed down in 1984 due to environmental concerns around nearby drilling sites. The city of Waxahachie incorporated on February 15th 1955. The initial goal was to provide services such as water supply and garbage collection for all citizens within the city limits but quickly grew into something much bigger with many different services provided by various organizations inside and outside of the city limits including: an libraries system; fire prevention; ambulance service; schools; parks & recreation; streetcars/trains/drivers/utilities etc...

Waxahachie is a town in Johnson County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,869 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1876 by pioneers who came overland from Missouri and Kansas. Wacoalechee Creek forms the town's eastern border and Waxahachie Creek its western border. The Waxahachie post office opened in 1879, and the first store was built on Main Street. In 1880, John Hays donated land to the town for a public square. In 1886, James Hogg erected a log courthouse onstakes near what is now State Route 83. From here he served as court judge and attorney general for Johnson County until his death in 1902. In 1889, Wacoalechee Creek was diverted southward to create an all-purpose ditch to help drain some of Texan Quarters (now downtown Austin) during a severe drought that year. At that time much of Johnson County was undeveloped and many of its residents were subsistence farmers who used water power to cultivate cotton or other crops; however, these same people later began building homes around this new ditch system. This new development radically changed the social fabric of Waxahachie when many prominent Texans – among them Judge Hogg himself – relocated there to escape city life during the Progressive Era when cities became more respected than rural areas across America due largely to Progressive education policies such as compulsory school attendance for children of working families (a policy later repealed). By 1907 most businesses had closed down because few customers could be found outside Houston or Dallas; only one business remained open until 1915 when it burned down because its owner bought out his competition with heavy machinery! Early neighborhood developments included Lawrenceton/Cottonwood Park which developed along Sprague Avenue north of I-35W; Northside which grew up around Highway 281 between US 192/I-635E and FM 620 east of I-35W; Stroudsville which developed around FM 1136 east of US 290 south of I-35W; Fruitvale which developed along FM 927 north of I-30 west of US 290 near current day Interstate 35E; Campbelltown which developed along FM 2644 southwest Of Loop 610 South just pastFM 1960 about 8 miles ESE OF WACOALECHEE CREEK
