There is no one definitive account of tactical coffee, but some historians believe that the practice may have originated in 1853 when Captain David G. Walker, commanding a battalion of Texas Rangers stationed at Goliad, began brewing coffee for his troops. Within a few years, Capt. Walker's Coffee Company had become an established business in Weslaco. By 1865, the company had relocated to what is now downtown and became known as the "First Brigade Coffee House." In 1868-1869, Capt. Walker purchased land east of town and built The First Brigade Armory to house his coffee business and also serve as a barracks for Texas Rangers. From this location, Capt.Walker continued to sell coffee until 1886 when he sold all his property and resigned from the Ranger force altogether. Captain David G. Walker's Coffee House continued to serve as a place where people could purchase their morning caffeine fix until it was destroyed by fire in 1951. The First Brigade Armory remained standing however and was used as headquarters for various civic organizations until it was taken over by the Weslaco Police Department in 1966 and then used again as office space before being demolished in 1984. Today only parts of the building remain standing - including its roof - while the rest has been replaced by new construction which includes a library on top of it (which opened in 1992).
Wesleyan County, Texas is located in the Midwestern United States and covers an area of 307 square miles. The population was 46,824 as of the 2010 census. Wesleyan is made up of small towns and villages that straddle the Arkansas River along its western border. At its heart is the town of Weslaco. The first white person to reside in what is now Weslaco was David Borden, who came overland from Missouri on his way to Wichita Falls in 1827. In 1838, a group of Methodist missionaries arrived in Weslaco and began preaching to the local Indian population. By 1840, there were about fifty people living in Weslaco. In 1901, Wesleyan County was created from portions of Butte and Logan counties. It was named for Reverend Drury Wesley (1792-1865). The first post office opened in 1903. When Texas became a state in 1959, Wesleyan County became part of it. The population has since increased significantly due to agricultural production and new housing developments near the Arkansas River Valley. Today, Weslaco continues to be a vital center for trade within Weld County as well as for travel through central Texas because of its location at the junction of Interstate 10 and State Highway 57/Upper Colorado Road (CA 58). Additionally, it constitutes one half mile exclusion zone around downtown Dallas because strong levels of air pollution have been consistently reported there since 1983

The first coffee shops opened in the Netherlands in 1795, and soon afterwards other European countries followed suit. In 18th century Europe, roasting beans were done either on small or large fireplaces. With advances in technology, however, roasting became increasingly automated over the course of the twentieth century. One important development that led to increased automation was moving from a two-phase system (in which roasted beans were placed in a preheated oven) to an all-fired system. This change allowed for greater consistency in quality as well as elimination of many of the risks associated with traditional roasting processes. Additionally, it eliminated most of the need for human involvement when cooking coffee – allowing cafes to become more self-sufficient. With this increase in automation came also an increase in creativity as brewers began to Experiment with new brewing methods and flavors. Some of these experiments included using fruit purees and spices instead of water; using less expensivegrounds such as chicory or filter paper; and employing bagel machines that would roast whole bean cups at once rather than individuallyizing each cup. These innovations made coffee more accessible to a wider audience and helped drive growth throughout much of 20th century Europe. In North America, trends towards mechanization eventually outpaced those towards automation, resulting in greater consistency across regions while still leaving room for experimentation. In contrast, Europeanroasters continued to experiment with various brewing techniques until fairly recently – some continue to do so even today!

Weslaco is a town in Webb County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,814 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tyler–Fort Worth metropolitan area. The first people to live in what is now Weslaco were the Kenedy family who settled there in 1872. In 1902, a group of Methodist ministers from Dallas named themselves the Wesleyan Methodist Episcopal Church and founded a school for African Americans called Mount Zion School which still exists today as Weslaco High School. In 1907, with help from Senator John Fenton and Congressman Jameson Noble, Texas land was donated to Webb County by J.P. Morgan for development into what would become Weslaco Township. By 1930, when annexation by Tyler became an option on the ballot, over 60% of the population had arrived from out-of-state or Mexican immigrants. In 1915, after World War I ended and many veterans returned home from Europe, businessman Harry Wilkinson erected his $10 million Weslaco Civic Center that remains one of downtown's most recognizable features today. Today Wichita State University operates a branch campus in Weslaco which has led to increased trade and business ties between the two communities; however local businesses have also seen growth thanks to online selling and other ecommerce initiatives such as Kickstarter and Etsy . The city's economy has diversified since then with commerce focusing more on agriculture than traditional manufacturing; however new businesses are always being born as innovation moves onto new platforms In recent decades there has been significant investment made in green infrastructure including energy efficiency upgrades at schools and businesses alike; as well as construction of decentralized water systems that connect all households within its boundaries directly without any central hub
