On February 3rd 1889 it changed its name back to "Burien" due to objections by residents who wanted their community called something other than Queen Anne because that term had previously been used for neighboring Olympia where many members of the Norwegian Lutheran Church lived vernacular church services were still being offered until 1893 when all religious services were moved indoors into churches following passage by state legislature bill 6287 entitled: "An act authorizing various changes in ecclesiastical organization within King County." This legislation effectively destroyed any vestige that may have remaining among Norwegian Lutherans living outside Seattle so significant efforts have been made since then by historians such as Lawlor et al., (1996)to document this portion o
