Everett is a small town in Thurston County, Washington. It was founded in 1881 by Isabella Everett and her husband George Everett. The town became a census-designated place in 1959 and has since grown to include the adjacent unincorporated communities of Cabin Creek, Crossroads, and Goodnight. In 2010, Everett had a population of 992 people. The town of Everett was named for Isabella Everett's father, George Everett. He had come to the area from Oregon in 1859 as part of the gold Rush era. The first post office was established in 1881, and it remain so to this day. At that time the area only consisted of scatteredesteads and farms with few buildings other than churches or schoolhouses. George Everett built his first cabin near where he now lives on Cabin Creek in 1881. He soon realized that he needed more land to support his family and began laying out additional tracts of land which he sold off over time to settlers who came to the area during the late 1800s searching for coal seams hidden under an expansive listless desert landscape (the name given to this region by early American travelers). During World War II many residents served in military service; some even managed farmsteads while they were away at war. After the war many veterans returned home and started families; these new arrivals helped pave the way for growth in Everett during the postwar years as businesses began popping up all around town thanks largely to Interstate 5 which crossed through town at its then-new intersection with State Route 99A (now State Route 410). Many construction jobs were done during those years right along I-5 making it not only one of bustling cities but also one constantly evolving with technology – something everyone took for granted until things went sour starting around 1990 when I-5 reached its current terminus south of town at SR 99A/State Route 410 junction: this created a vacuum left behind as businesses closed up shop due primarily to high costs associated with maintaining such an extensive freeway network outside urban areas despite numerous opportunities for their relocation within commuting zones… [In] 2000 local developer Rick Hamrin said “We’re about ready for another big development here because we think there are still some great acres out there that could be developed” Hamrin would go on develop much larger projects such as The Container Store inside what is nowCrossroads mall into his career after leavingSEVERNIS REAL ESTATE INC., Towne Center Shopping center into what is nowMall Supercenter
