The history of the Air Force gift shop started in Puyallup, Washington in 1942. The store was first called the Army and Navy Exchange Shop, and it was run by the military. It was opened as a way for soldiers to get gifts for their families back home. In 1944, the store became part of the Air Force and it continued to be run by members of the Air Force. In 1961, the store moved to its current location on East Puyallup Avenue. The store has been through many changes over time, but its core mission has always been to provide service to members of the Air Force. The gift shop has also had a significant impact on American culture. The history of the USAF began with World War I when American pilots flew reconnaissance missions over Germany as part of General William “Bulldog” Pershing’s American Expeditionary Forces (AEF). In 1919, Congress passed an act creating a military aviation service within the Department of War to replace both Civilian Aeronautics Administration (CAA) regulations governing civilian operations on U.S soil as well as European Aviation Regulations which had been in place since 1915. On July 20th 1920 by order from President Woodrow Wilson these new regulations were published as Note 10 to Executive Order 9790 which established AAF Regulation No: 16-A which limited civil flights to 3 per day from Washington D C; this prevented any commercial airlines from operating within US airspace without special permission from AAF headquarters in Dayton OH while providing safety for military airfields used byAAF fighters during combat exercises or training exercises outside US airspace without prior notice to EO 9790 operators/airports

Puyallup is a town in Kitsap County, Washington, United States. The population was 6,853 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue metropolitan area. The Puyallup River forms the town's eastern border and its center. The river flows through the town and its namesake Creek before emptying into Puget Sound. Most of Puyallup was laid out in 1847 by members of the Doubletree Hotel Company as part of a land grant given to them by King George IV. At that time, most of what is now Puyallup was within current Kitsap County. The first settlers arrived in 1847 and built log cabins on what are now Main Street and Second Street NW. By 1850, they had also erected a sawmill on the creek where it joins the river. In 1865, gold came to Puyallup when an Indian trader found a vein of gold near present-day Tacoma; this led to increased settlement in nearby wildcat towns (such as Goldendale) until goldetition ended in 1872 when Congress banned such mining operations statewide. In 1907, lumber interests organized what would become known as the Pacific Northwest Lumberjacks Association which successfully lobbied for laws encouraging tree planting along riverside banks so that lumber could be exported from these areas more easily (the practice continued into World War II). This effort indirectly helped spur development of present day Puyallup around Interstate 5 between Everett and Tacoma/Bellevue while also creating jobs throughout rural Kitsap County with boatbuilding and other light industrial activities until those industries peaked in 2000s due to global economic recession and declines in demand for wood products nationwide. The creation of Interstate 5 caused some local businesses to flee or relocate over commuting distances but also created new opportunities for small businesses clustered around I-5 including catering services offered at various hotelsier locations along I-5 corridor outside downtown Tacoma/Bellevue during late 1990s grunge era; however those businesses have since faded away due largely to low traffic levels on I-5 corridor outside Downtown Seattle/. Accordingly there has been significant revitalization activity taking place within downtown core area since early 21st century with several large mixed use projects completed or under construction such as Amazon’s headquarters campus being developed next door across Harbor Drive SE just south of Interstate 5 exit 172 which will house approximately 8 million sq ft Class A office space at a price tag above $1 billion USD once complete; furthermore major retail anchor tenant announced plans to open their first US Headquarters inside city limits adjacent First National Financial Center complex located just east side off I-5 freeway exit 163A after years protracted efforts by Developer Crandell Parsons who purchased former Safeway location adjacent I-5 interchange substantially increasing property values surrounding City limit making it one largest real estate renovation project ever staged within city limits anywhere up until today inclusive both projects resulting in record breaking economic impact overall resulting in numerous new residents moving into City Limits over recent years leading ultimately to increasing crime rates within community

In 1960, NATO began North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) membership which increased American military involvement in Europe. On July 20th, 1961 President John F Kennedy announced that America would become a member of the Soviet Union and this led to the Cuban Missile Crisis which ended with America's successful intervention in Cuba without congressional approval.
In 1853, Puyallup was founded by Methodist missionaries. The town became a thriving community and grew rapidly due to its strategic location on the Cascade River. In 1907, Puyallup was renamed for General George Custer after his death in battle at Little Bighorn. The town's growth stalled during the Great Depression, but resumed in the 1940s as a result of new military housing developments. In recent years, Puyallup has seen increased development along Highway 99 which has led to increased traffic and congestion on the small town's narrow streets.
