This clock remains one of the most unique pieces found within the navy museum collection and is often used as inspiration for watches on display inside submarines today! 3. The Submarine Marker In 1931, Admiral Byrd landed on Mount Everest during his historic Antarctic Expedition – marking what would eventually be known as Operation Neptune’s Spear! To celebrate this special moment in navy history, Admiral Byrd presented each member of his expedition with a special Submarine Marker (pictured below). These markers can still be seen at various locations around Antarctica today and commemorate every occasion when a submarine has sailed through its waters!
