These libraries are part of a larger cooperative project called Friends of Northwest Library which collects materials from around King County for use by local library systems across Washington state. Additionally, there are many parklands throughout town that include areas such as John Atherton Park Preserve that offer nature trails, playgrounds and picnic areas. In addition to its impressive air force installations, Sedro Woolley has also become a popular tourist destination due to its stunning scenery and wide range of activities available for visitors such as fishing, hiking and golfing; among others things there is even a petting zoo!

There are several visitor centers within walking distance of USGS Headquarters: one at Government Hill, another at South Park Street south of I-5, and another at Eastgate Drive east of Highway 97 near State College University (SCU). All offer exhibits on geology, history, science fiction, artifacts from around Sedro Woolley, as well as programs for students and professionals interested in minerals, gemsstones & archaeological sites throughout WA state
