The University Place neighborhood in Northwest Washington is a vibrant and popular place to live, work, and play. There is no one answer to this question since different policemen have different gift histories. Some of the most well-known and celebrated policemen in history are known for their large collections of memorabilia, such as The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band LP or Babe Ruth's MVP trophy. Others prefer more subtle gifts like a good book or watch, while still others may prefer unique items, like a dashboard camera or police dog. Whatever the case may be, it is clear that policeman gift history is a highly personal topic that can vary greatly from individual to individual.

As a policeman, I have given many gifts. Here are a few examples: 1) A whistle to use as a signaling device 2) A police car key ring with an automatic license plate reader 3) A dog collar with a built-in collie tracker

University Place is a small, residential neighborhood in Northwest Washington, D.C. It was developed between 1911 and 1915 by the University of Washington as a student-athlete and academic area. The name comes from the university's main campus on Connecticut Avenue NW, which is also its original location. Prior to that, it was known as "Century Square" because of its close proximity to the then-new U Street corridor linking downtown with Georgetown University and other key universities in the southern part of town. The first buildings were erected on land donated by Adolphus Wiegand, a wealthy philanthropist who had served as president of the University of Washington from 1881 to 1902. Wiegand had been interested in developing an educational district for students at UW and he saw University Place as an ideal opportunity to do so. He offered his money and land to the university, which used it to build new dormitories, libraries, classrooms, athletic fields and a gymnasium on land that still forms part of today's campus. During World War I, when UW was closed down due to military obligations, many students moved into University Place while their campuses were closed down elsewhere in D.C. Many others bought or leased property around University Place during those years; eventually all but two blocks (the easternmost block) were annexed by the present-day District of Columbia government when it was created in 1898. In 1961 partitioning D.C.'s city limits madeUniversity Place one half of what is now Southeast Washington - leaving only One Hundred Tenth Street NE unincorporated within City limits - but this annexation has not led to any changes in character or demographics among its residents since then (except for slight population growth). The community is home mainly to faculty and staff members at nearby National Institutes of Health institutions housed on various wings of adjacent NIH Campus housing projects).

The University Place Historic District is a historic district in Washington, D.C., which includes the buildings of the University of Washington. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
