These Presentations were called "Gift Carts." The Gift Cart usually consisted of items such as candy bars or cigarettes, whichever branch of service the recipient was from at the time. After Desert Shield and Desert Storm, gifts became more common among Marines who served in those conflicts. There were new technologyiegts being developed and deployed in those wars that required new kinds of gifts like laptop computers or software programs for troops on deployment. Some members even started giving back with special items such as T-shirts or hats to commemorate deployments or moments during combat. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, another tradition began where Marines would deliver pizzas to military installations around Iraq in order to help promote peace and understanding between Iraqis and Americans working within Baghdad's streetscape while also raising money for charity. This event continued into 2007 when Marines took part inOperation Pizza Hut Challenge - delivering 1,000 pizzas at different military bases throughout Iraq in support of humanitarian efforts tied to food insecure families living near war zones

Woodinville is a city in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 21,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle–Tacoma metropolitan area. Woodinville was founded in 1871 by George W. Stephenson and named for him. The first post office in Woodinville was established in 1872. In 1907, the city became an incorporated town and changed its name to Woodinville proper in 1912. The population of the city peaked at 27,569 in 1950 but declined to 24,767 by 2000; however, it has since recovered and reached 25,000 as of 2010. The history of Woodinville began with George Stephenson who founded the city on land he had purchased from Moses Lake Township south of Seattle on March 17, 1871. He named it after himself because his Sawmill Creek Ranch encompassed much of what is now Woodinville (the original boundaries were just NW corner of present-dayNW 51st Ave., SW corner of present-daySW 54th Ave., N/S corner of present-daySE 55th Ave.). In 1907 when the City became an incorporated town through a vote by the citizens thereof and changed its name to “Woodinville Proper” due to confusion with nearby Bellingham which also became an incorporated town that year under similar circumstances although both towns were actually located within King County at that time (see chart). At this time there were only 3 other cities within King County: Bellevue (founded 1905), Yakima (1899) and Tacoma (1905). The growth and success of downtownSeattle led to denser development around First Hill – what is now Pioneer Square – where many businesses had opened during earlier boom years including several breweries that helped drive local traffic along Second Avenue NE corridor serving today’s Pike Place Market district as well as numerous new residences built along Third Avenue NE corridor during ensuing decades beginning with early 20th century Examples are First National Bank Building & Loan Association building completed c1910 followed soon thereafter by numerous other commercial occupants until finally replacement/renovation commenced circa 1970s following impact & fire damage caused by lightning strike then devastating winds associated with recent tornado outbreak prior thereto (& still ongoingongoing) . All told these developments have resulted in very strong associative tie between downtownSeattle& woodinville dating back over 100 years
The original land for the town of Woodinville was acquired by Major General George Washington in 1792. The town was founded on May 20, 1792, by Revolutionary War veteran Colonel James Wilkinson. He named the town after his home state of Virginia. The Town of Woodinville was first settled primarily by farmers and their families.
