The first commander of Central Command was General Curtis LeMay who led Central Command from its inception until his retirement in 1991. Other major commanders during this time include Lieutenant General Hoot Gibson and Major General James Mattis who both held command positions at Central Command until their promotions to lieutenant general and general respectively in 2018. The USAF has undergone several changes since its establishment including an expansion into space with Project Apollo; a restructuring which saw Continental Airlines absorbed into Aeronautics Incorporated; and another reorganization which saw Aeronautical Systems Corporation merged into Lockheed Martin Corp.. In recent years there have been increasing efforts by members of Congress to increase funding for the USAF through various appropriations bills passed by Congress including increases totaling $38 billion over 10 years through 2025 as part of The Pentagon's Future Years Defense Program - known colloquially as "AirFund". Additionally, Joseph Mengele Jr., head of Nazi-American flight testing organization 'Aurora' has been accused by multiple individuals (including one survivor)of being complicit in buying tickets for him to fly to North America aboard two Boeing 747s operated by American Airlines from Miami International Airport under fictitious names in order to gain access to captive Jews living in America during World War II

Morgantown is a small town in West Virginia, located on the banks of the Kanawha River. The town was founded in 1814 by General John C. Dearborn and named for his birthplace, Morgantown, Pennsylvania. In 1924, Morgantown became an incorporated city. In 1970, it became a county seat of Mingo County. As of 2010, Morgantown had a population of 981 people. Morgantown was first settled by Europeans in the early 17th century as part of present-day Virginia and West Virginia. By 1814, General John C Dearborn had established Morgantown as a wagoner's outpost on the Kanawha River near what is now Wheeling, West Virginia. The town grew rapidly during its early years due to its strategic location along trade routes and its proximity to major military installations such as Fort Harrison and Fort McDowell. In 1830,Dearborn sold Morgantown to Major general William Taney for $2 million dollars ($115 million adjusted Gross Domestic Product at current Prices).Taney renamed the community "Morganton" in honor of his home state of Maryland (now Maryland). However, many residents continued to call themselves "Morgantonians." In 1924-25, when Mingo County was created from parts of Armstrong County and McDowell CountyWest Virginia under Republican Governor James Kephart's administration - Morgantownturned into an incorporated city under Democratic Mayor Hardison Wickersham with 1/3 majority vote over two ballots cast from citizens who met at the courthouse square on November 3rd 1925 after days of deliberations following violence among local gangs that had broken out during previous elections day celebrations which included drunkenness on partof several hundred participants including many high school students who were celebrating their graduation exercises from colleges nearby! The city fathers went ahead with plans to build a new civic center which would include a library/theater complex; new streets were laid out; fire hydrants were installed; first lighted street lamps were placed throughout the community; plumbers were hired;mud tires were put back on horse carts so that people could travel easily around without having to leave their homes! On December 5th 1925 Hardison Wickersham announced that finally things are moving forward here in downtown Morganton...and we're not just movingForward but upward!" It wasn't until 1990 when McIntosh decided he wanted some property east of town line within reason away from other businesses that another fight ensued about maps drawn up years earlier between developers proposing subdivisions adjacent to McIntosh land parcels never deliverable according to contract terms because McIntosh refused ever sell any property contiguous oradjacenttohis properties without first getting full ownership rights thereby blocking all development potentials resultingin massive flooding events affecting neighboring communities upstream where water levels have since receded below original floodplain boundaries
