The gift history began with the donation of a plane by Captain Charles A. Kapp in 1938. The plane was used for training purposes and was later donated to the Kaukauna Army Base Museum. From then on, the gift history would include donations of various types of aircraft, vessels, and equipment. One of the most famous donations came in 1954 when Colonel Harry Ladd donated an F-86 Fighter Aircraft to the Kaukauna Air Force. This donation helped spur development within the Air Force and also helped provide many new opportunities for local students to become pilots. In 1984, Major General James Croydon made a Donation of an HH-60P Helicopter to the Air Force; this donation allowed for more expeditious response times when it comes to search and rescue operations. The present day gift history can be traced back to 1992 when Colonel Tom Wirth donated an AH-1 Cobra helicopter to the Air Force. This donation not only allowed for increased air service capabilities but it also helped improveSearch And Rescue Operations in Haukauna area during times of emergency. Toys "R" Us: In 1980, when the USAF's first Combat Crew Training Squadron was activated at Langley AFB, Virginia, Toys "R" Us was the perfect place to start. Every year since then, we've supported USAF flight training by bringing in new and exciting toys for cadets and active duty personnel. This year's donation comes in the form of an iPad with a virtual reality cockpit Simulator! Langley AFB: In 1991, as part of Operation Desert Storm, the USAF deployment site at Langley AFB became home to two operational fighter wings - The 388th Fighter Wing (later known as 4th Fighter Wing) and The 419th Tactical Airlift Wing (later known as 9th Airlift Wing). These units were joined together under one command during this time - Joint Task Force Southwest Asia (JTF-SWA). Today's 9th Airlift Wing is one of three combatant commands assigned to US Strategic Command - responsible for providing global airspace support for NATO operations. This year's donation comes in the form of a 2nd Generation E-4D Sentry Commander System!

Kaukauna is a town in Kaukauna County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,853 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee–Waukesha–Kenosha Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first European settlers were Frenchmen in 1763 and they named the area la Riviere aux Moines after their leader, Marquis de Lafayette. The first post office was established in 1836. The town site was located along the Sauk River on land that had been donated by Moses Dodge and other fur traders in 1833 to establish a new village. A mill was built here in 1840 and the first school opened in 1841. In 1854, Kaukauna became a city when it became one of thirty-nine townships within Racine County. In 1898, Kaukauna merged with Racine to form Milwaukee County. In 1907, Kaukauna began to experience rapid growth as refugees from Europe arrived seeking asylum during World War I. By 1920, Kaukauna had become home to over 4300 people living in 85 housing units with an additional 1100 people working at various businesses including a bank and grocery store. In 1965, Kaukuana annexed adjacent villages of White Earth and Waukesha under its own government; this made it easier for residents of these villages to join together as one municipality which would continue to grow throughout the years until it reached its current size today
Kaukauna, Wisconsin was first settled in 1854 by H.W. Kaukauna and his wife Anna. The town was named after Kaukauna Chief of the Pembina Sioux Tribe. In 1875, the town passed to the Dakota Nation and remained a part of that nation until it was ceded to the United States in 1907. Kaukauna became a city on November 1, 1917.
