Wisconsin's first artisan coffee shop opened its doors in the small town of Little Chute in 1974. The coffee shop, known today as Place du Portugal, was run by Michele and Donatella D'Angelo. At the time, Little Chute was a small town located in the far northwestern corner of Wisconsin. The region was rich in farmland and forests and had a population of only around 1,000 people at the time. Despite this small population size, Place du Portugal became one of the most popular Coffee shops in the area due to their delicious cup of java served up fresh each day. The popularity of Place du Portugal's coffee allowed them to open a second location in 1997 near Milwaukee. This new location proved to be even more successful than the original as it quickly became one of Wisconsin's most popular coffee shops. Over time, Place du Portugal has developed into an internationally renowned artisan coffee house with locations throughout North America. Today, they continue to serve up some OfWisconsin's best cup of joe while helping support local businesses and organizations along the way!

By 1850, there were sixteen people living in Little Chute. In 1868, the first school was built in Little Chute. The first teacher was Mrs. Larkin. In 1907, a post office was established at Little Chute and mail was sent to Portsmouth and Manchester until 1954 when the Post Office closed at that location due to lack of customers. The community began to grow after World War II when many soldiers returned home from service and started businesses in the area such as hardware stores and restaurants. At this time, many residents also worked at government buildings such as schools and hospitals. This growth continued into the 21st century with several new businesses being opened up including an internet cafe, a hair salon, a pawnshop and even a movie theater which has since closed down but left behind memories for locals who used to visit it on specific days during summertime (such as Memorial Day). Some communities which have experienced similar types of success have been Woburn ( Massachusetts) where they grew quickly after amalgamation or Lawrence ( Kansas) which experienced rapid growth after its incorporation into Wichita County '. The popularity of this small cafe limited its access to quality beans from other roasters, which helped make Conte's espresso one of the world's most iconic drinks. In 1812 Nicholas-Jacques Conte sold his business to John Jacob Astor III, who turned it into a major shipping company and reopened it as an Italianate hotel called The Equitable—one of the city’s first high-end hotels with indoor plumbing and hot water services available on site. The popularity of artichoke dip led Italian restaurateurs starting in the 1920s to roast their own beans and sell them directly to customers at proposh restaurants throughout North America—later becoming international brands such as Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts among others. These chains eventually replaced independent cafés as America’s primary sources for artisanal coffee products because they could offer larger scale distribution systems and more affordable prices than individual roasters could ever hope to charge alone!

Little Chute, Wisconsin was a town in the state of Wisconsin from 1837 to 1943. The community was located in the southern part of the state, near the confluence of the Cedar and Menominee rivers. It was named after John Little, an early settler in what is now Milwaukee County. At its peak, Little Chute had a population of 1,500 people. When World War II ended, Little Chute's population decreased to about 100 people. The town developed around a sawmill that was established in 1837 by John Little and his brother-in-law George Washington Smith. The mill used water power to produce lumber for local homes and businesses. By 1840, the mill had become one of the largest sawmills in Wisconsin; it produced more than 2 million board feet of lumber each year. In 1845, John Little donated land east of the mill to build a Village on which he and his wife Ann would live with their children and grandchildren until they passed away. In 1847, Congress created Racine Township as part of a enlargement of Milwaukee County; littlechute remained within Racine Township until 1903 when it became united with nearby Wauwatosa Township into Waukesha County under Republican rule. In 1943, when Wisconsin merged with Michigan into the United States due to political changes at home during World War II, littlechute became part of Walworth County in Minnesota

The first settlers in Little Chute, Wisconsin were Levi Coffin and his family. They arrived on the scene in 1837. At that time, the area was still a part of the United States of America. The Coffin family operated a store and had four children. One of these children, Moses Coffin, became the first postmaster in Little Chute.
