The Little Chute National Guard was organized on December 3, 1941. On January 1, 1942, the Little Chute National Guard became a Wisconsin Army Nationalguard Regiment. The regiment was redesignated as the 7th Battalion, 8th Regiment of the Wisconsin Army National Guard on May 9, 1958. The battalion was redesignated as the 5th Battalion, 8th Regiment of the Wisconsin Army National Guard on October 25, 1959. The battalion was redesignated as the 2nd Brigade (5th Infantry Division), 102d Infantry Brigade Combat Team on February 6, 1966. The brigade became an elements of III Corps on July 1st and then defense of Waukesha County until relieved by 1st Armored Division in November 1968-January 1969. In early 1969-May 1970 II Corps was reassigned to I Corps and this left the 2nd Brigade with Defense Support Command at Camp Shelby in Mississippi while Headquarters and Headquarters Company moved to Fort Knox Kentucky where they were activated as part of that command. On October 14, 1984 Action Alert announced that members of unit had been arrested for purposes unknown in connection with a robbery at a local convenience store This news sent shockwaves through military communities all over America because it meant that service members could face criminal charges without any questioning or trial If convicted martial law would have been declared and everyone could have faced prison time or being discharged from service In response to this event units across the United States prepared for potential national guard operations under various designation including Reserve Component Training Center - Fort Worth Texas which served as Sandia Base Ops School for Guardsmen from several states Enforcement training center - El Paso Texas Ranger school - LubbockTexas Airborne School - Ft Bragg North Carolina Army Reserve Components also mobilized their Reservists just in case something like this happened

Little Chute is a small town in the town of Green Bay, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. Little Chute is part of the Green Bay Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in what would become Little Chute was German immigrant Johann Wehner in 1835. He and his wife had two children and moved to the area where they built a log cabin on their farmstead known as "Wehner's Prairie". In 1839, wehner's son George died suddenly while out fishing on the river; his widow continued to live there with her two children until she died in 1893. In 1865, a group of farmers from Menomonee River Township east of Green Bay bought land around present-day Little Chute from John Kappes for $350 cash. They began building homes and living quarters on the site. By 1868, their village had a schoolhouse and five stores. A post office was established that year, and by 1870 it had twelve residents. Little Chute is a town in the Driftless Area of Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Green Bay–Waukesha–Kenosha Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlers in Little Chute were German immigrants who came to the area in 1836. They cleared land and built homes beforewitzgeachtet (a German word meaning "place where water flows"). In 1846, James W. Clark established a sawmill here with his brother-in-law John Crouch. From then until 1872, Little Chute was known as "Clark's Mills". In 1870, John Mather set up a blacksmith shop in what is now the Old Main Building on State Street in Little Chute. He operated it for many years until his death in 1907. His son Julius started the business after he father's death. The shop became one of the most popular places to buy goods in town because it carried a wide variety of items such as tools, hardware, supplies and clothing from all over Wisconsin and Iowa. In 1916, Little Chute had its first post office which was located on Butler Avenue near State Street. The office served as an important connection between local residents and those living outside of town because there was no mail service available from Green Bay or other nearby cities at that time. In 1951, when BigChute Dam was constructed on White River east of town*, much attention turned toLittleChute because it would be directly across the river fromtown* - making it easier for people to get around.* However, little changed until 1978 whenthe Big Chutes were taken down by federal authorities due to concerns about flooding caused by heavy rains*. As a result of this event*, LittleChute lost much valuable property including its downtown core which lay vacant until 1993 when city officials decided to demolish it all together *.
