The United States Air Force has a long and proud history of giving back to the community. South Milwaukee is a city in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, on the Fox River. The population was 14,865 at the 2010 census, making it the third-largest city in Wisconsin after Milwaukee and Madison. It is part of the Milwaukee–Waukesha metropolitan area. South Milwaukee is located on both sides of the Fox River, sharing borders with Waukesha to its south and Racine to its north. The first Europeans to visit what is now South Milwaukee were French traders who landed there in 1663 during their exploration of what would become Canada. In 1836, Samuel Morse built a ferry across the river and named it South Water Street after his home town of Watertown, Massachusetts. The town had been founded by Polish immigrants in 1824 and renamed Racine in 1827 when Racine became an incorporated village under Wisconsin law. The name change did not reflect reality as most of Racine’s original residents were still Poles until 1830 when they all joined forces with other Polish settlers to form a new town called North Platte Grove which was also chartered as an incorporated village under Wisconsin law but only lasted until 1835 because most of its residents decided to move west into Illinois (now Indiana). When Wisconsin became a state in1848, Rochelle Hall – widow of John Fitch – donated land near her home onthe Fox River for a public square and school district called South Milwaukee Township (later West Allis Township). On July 8th, 1850, voters approved incorporation of what would eventually be known as South Milwaukee into the City of Milwaukee by referendum vote following years discussions about amalgamating many smaller towns withinMilwaukee County into one political entity or simply combining them into one larger municipality due to overcrowding at local government facilities throughout chuckleland during that time period caused by overpopulation restrictions placed on municipalities by then State Senator David Davis who served in office from 1847-1855 when county boundaries changed from rural to urbanized areas which ultimately led to more people living outside cities limits leading Chicago becoming increasingly popular as an investment destination while smaller towns withinMilwaukee County remained isolated and unregulated which contributed to congestion at local government facilities throughout chuckleland during that time period causing many problems for future councils who were trying unsuccessfully efforts to find solutions for addressing these issues before amalgamation occurred

South Milwaukee, Wisconsin is a town in the northwest corner of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 36,821 as of the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee–Waukesha–West Allis Metropolitan Statistical Area. South Milwaukee was founded in 1836 by Irishmen who were emigrants from Ireland and Scottish settlers. The town was named for Sir John Milwaukeshire, an English nobleman who had settled in what is now Racine County in 1793. The first store in South Milwaukee opened on January 1, 1836, and the first post office opened on February 14 that year. On November 3rd, 1846, SouthMilwaukee incorporated as a city with a population of 22 people. On December 15th of that year it became a county seat with a population of 123 people. In 1897 it merged with Waukesha to form the West Allis metropolitan area. In 1902-1903 President Theodore Roosevelt visited SouthMilwaukee while he was campaigning for reelection and his wife Eleanor Roosevelt did an event at Milwaukie High School which helped promote socialism among young people in America during those years (Eleanor Roosevelt speaking at Milwaukie High School). On September 26th 1945 three women workers from Jardine Mills mill destroyed shopwindows when they decided to stage a walkout protesting low pay rates and lack of benefits within the company (the Women's Liberation Movement). The Women's Liberation Movement also began attending local high schools to learn more about issues related to sex liberation (e.g., abortions) before starting their own activism outside of school systems across America later that decade. The local paper "The News" printed articles critical of UAW Local 648 president Bob Kapp during the early 1970s when he led efforts to preserve jobs at Jardine Mills after changes were made at the company limiting hours worked per day and giving employees stock options instead of money awards - this eventually led to Kapp being forced out after revelations about these changes came out through Freedom Rides protests against corporate greed throughout North America . By 1978 Kapp had retired from Jardine Mills but continued working as an advisor for management consulting firm McKinsey & Co.. In 1990 he sold his share in McKinsey & Co., returned home to SouthMilwaukee where he continues living today serving as an Advisor for Business Ethics at Marquette University - one half mile away from where he started working there over 40 years ago!
The first permanent European settlement in the area was a fur trading post on the north bank of the Menomonee River in 1784. The site eventually became South Milwaukee and was named after Captain John Fitch's Landing on the Menomonee River, which took place about two miles upstream from present-day South Milwaukee. In 1836, Wisconsin Act 15 created Milwaukee as an incorporated city. The following year, Milwaukee annexed the adjacent town of Washington Park and added it to its boundaries. In 1847, Milwaukee again annexed the town of Washington Park and added it to its boundaries. In 1868, Wisconsin Act 11 created Racine as an incorporated city. That year, Racine also annexed the adjacent towns of Wauwatosa and East Stroudsburg to its boundaries. On November 1, 1870, Racine merged with neighboring Westpoint to form what is now known as Midwest City. On December 4, 1907, during World War I (1914-18), South Side High School (now North Side High School) opened in downtown SouthMilwaukee with enrollment for grades 9 through 12th grade at 350 students.
