It was located on the corner of First and Main Streets in downtown Cheyenne. The store became known for its quality coffee, as well as its innovative methods of roasting and packaging. In 1897, Carver opened a second location on Fourth Street in what is now the main shopping district of Cheyenne. The store continued to be a leader in coffee sales until it closed its doors in 1978. During the years that the store remained open, it helped create a unique flavor profile for Wyoming's coffee drinking public. This taste was later brought over to other states where Carver's beans were sold, such as Oregon and Nebraska.
